What We Offer
Vanessa Smith Pilates was founded in 2003 and has been at the present location, since 2016. The studio is fully equipped, offering clients all the support and challenge of Pilates equipment based work and mat classes, in groups and 1-1.
Vanessa is also a Feldenkrais practitioner and offers group and 1-1 classes. Vanessa’s colleague Annette Weir offers osteopathy and PIlates.
The studio offers Pilates teacher training in matwork and “bridging” to equipment based work for those already teaching matwork.
TEACHER TRAINING
Our Pilates Matwork Teacher Training Course course is designed to equip learners with the skills required for a career as a Pilates mat work teacher.
The Pilates Apparatus Teacher Training Course is aimed at teachers who have completed their matwork training.

Moshe Feldenkrais said “When you know what you do you can do what you want.” The Feldenkrais Method® endeavours to improve our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It uses as it’s tools movement, perception and imagination, affecting profound results effortlessly and often immediately.
While we navigate our way through the global pandemic, online classes are available via Zoom
PILATES MAT CLASSES
Pilates is a method of exercising which tones and lengthens the muscles, creating a balanced body. Known to improve posture, and to increase strength and flexibility. Pilates is ideal for rehabilitation of injuries – particularly back pain – and an enjoyable way to get more in touch with your body.
