Hi everyone,

I am very pleased and excited to welcome Karen Grant, who some of you already know. Karen’s years of experience will make this workshop a profound experience for Pilates teachers and anyone who has an interest in movement.

Pelvic floor issues are a whole-body issue and pelvic floor health needs to address the health of the whole person. In this workshop Karen will share the most recent research into why our pelvic floor muscles don’t always function well and how this can sometimes be a direct result of surrounding structures not doing their job properly, not the fault of the pelvic floor muscles themselves.

The aim of this workshop is to help us better understand the function of the pelvic floor in relation to the rest of your body, any related issues, and to figure out what you may need to change to optimise your own pelvic health.

Saturday August 13th 1.30 - 3.30pm £30

Karen attended her first Pilates class in Glasgow in 2001 while a dance teacher. She became a Pilates teacher and completed my comprehensive training with the Pilates Foundation in 2003.

She originally trained as a dancer at the Laban Centre in London and have over 30 years’ experience of teaching movement.  Over the years her teaching style has been influenced by the Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais and Yoga.

She is also a Bowen Therapist.
